Newly Formed “Revival and Beyond Committee” at GC

Ever since Ted Wilson was elected to be our new GC president, I have wondered what he would do to help our Church get back on track.  I believe that we are living in critical and prophetic times.  The signs of the times are proclaiming loud and clear that Jesus is returning soon.  To make sure we are a Church family that is truly ready for that great day, we must seek a revival and a reformation.

“A revival and a reformation must take place under the ministration of the Holy Spirit. Revival and reformation are two different things. Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from the spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend.”– Review and Herald, Feb. 25, 1902.

“Tasked with kindling spiritual growth among members, the committee is still in the developmental stage. Even its name is pending. When world church President Ted N.C. Wilson announced the committee during his first address to employees at church headquarters this summer, he called it “Revival and Reformation.” Now, he favors “Revival and Beyond,” said committee chair Armando Miranda, a world church general vice president.” [Read More]

Let’s pray for our leaders… It will be interesting to see how the Holy Spirit leads our Church in the months to come.
