Slippery Slope

How did we get here?  How did we arrive at a point in our Church history where many of us have set aside the Word of God for human reasoning?  More and more church leaders have embraced human reasoning over the will of God when it comes to women elders, pastors, and ordination.

Postmodernism and progressive agendas are weakening our Church.  God has given us a wonderful gift of salvation and the responsibility to share the gospel message with the world around us.  If we continue to allow human reasoning to trump the will of God, our churches and schools will continue to dry up in North America and other parts of the world where postmodernism is alive and well.

2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Ezekiel 33:11 – “Say to them: As I live, says the Lord Jehovah, I have no delight in the death of the wicked, except in the turning of the wicked from his way, and so to live. Turn, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?”

Below are some of the organizations pushing a dangerous agenda…

The mission of the international Association of Adventist Women is to foster the participation of women in varied leadership roles in Seventh-day Adventist organizations, congregations, and communities.

The Association of Adventist Women submits the following recommendations to:

5. To Conference presidents, that they actively seek to increase the number of women pastors in their churches.

6. To Conference presidents, that they encourage the ordination of women elders in local churches so that the majority of their constituencies have women with whom to counsel.

7. To church entities, that they work to increase the number of women serving on conference committees and in the local church.
