Adventist Activist for Desegregation

What are you willing to do to make sure our Church is true to God’s Word?  Are you willing to actively counteract the work of the devil in spiritual warfare or will you sit on the sidelines says, “Let’s pray about it and leave it in the Lord’s hands”?  I do not know about you, but I am tired of hearing these lazy words.  Do not get me wrong, there is a time for reflective prayer and patience, but then there are times when we need to stop messing around and obey God’s commands and directions.

For example: The Good Book is crystal clear in teaching that we have equal value in the eyes of God.  If this is so, then why are we still a segregated denomination?  The USA desegregated water fountains, restrooms, buses, schools, etc. years ago, but we, the 21st century, still have segregated conferences, schools, and churches.

This spiritual blemish should cause all of us to stop what we are doing and ask God “what we can do ASAP to correct this problem.”  This is not a version of the Bible debate or should we allow cheese at potluck conversation.  This is a major “blessing blocker” that needs to be prayerfully worked on right away… not next month or year.  Think about it… Do we really want God to bless our Church, giving us the power we need to finish the gospel work?  This type of “blessing blocker” will continue to keep our Church family divided in a time when we should be seeking an Acts 2 experience.

QUESTION:  What are you going to do?  Are you willing to call and write your local conference and union and “kindly” ask them to do something about this spiritual problem?  Are you willing to bring this subject up for discussion in your local church and church board?  There is so much we can do… we just need to do something.

Please let me know if you have some ideas on how to tackle this issue.  If we do something, I’m sure God will bless the effort.

FYI – I am willing to create a petition for people to sign… I am willing to create a desegregation ministry and help sponsor a booth of up-coming events… I am willing to march on Silver Spring, MD, asking the GC leaders to do something ASAP.  Let me know what you are willing to do.
