Called to Plant Churches

Has God called you to “stop playing church”?  Are you ready to create a place where people can truly meet Jesus and grow in His amazing grace?  If so, I invite you to begin praying about developing a church planting team (or join one) to work towards planting a healthy and growing church.

Q&A

  1. Do we need permission from the local conference to plant a church?  No!  As soon as you have enough people in the core group you can apply for company status.  Just make sure the core group is grounded in the Word of God and have a healthy respect/understanding of the 28 Fundamental Beliefs.
  2. Do we need a lot of money to get started?  No!  Begin by meeting in a personal home.  When you have a large enough group, you can then rent a meeting hall… then a store front… and then buy/lease your own building.
  3. Do we need a trained minister to lead the church plant?  No!  You just need some mission-minded and business-minded people who can organize and lead the group.  It is important that you have a skilled public speaker who can prepare Christ-centered sermons.

NOTE:  We do not need more “traditional” churches that cater to those who like the old fashion style of worship.  We also do not need “cheap grace” churches that use rock-n-roll to bring in the young people.  We need modern churches that draw people in with in-depth Bible study and heart-felt worship.  Trust me… all we need in worship is a piano/keyboard and guitar.  It does not hurt to add a violin, cello, or saxophone.  We just need to stay away from a rock-n-roll style of worship… this only divides the older and younger generations.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about church planting.
