The Sydney Morning Herald recently published an article entitled, Gay Marriage Question Thrashed Out with Crucifix, Turban, and Robes. The article talks about how Australia is thinking about legalizing gay marriage. To help understand the pros and cons… the court invited five religious leaders to share their views on the subject. One of the clergymen was a Seventh-day Adventist.
”Why don’t we call it something unique? For that is what it is,” the Seventh Day Adventist pastor Peter Cousins said. ”But not marriage.”
I personally believe that homosexuals should NEVER be criticized, belittled, or condemned. This type of lifestyle is their choice and they will have to answer to God in the end of time.
When I am interacting with a homosexual, I never let them know that I disagree with his or her lifestyle choice. I treat all homosexuals with respect and try to be as friendly as possible.
I would like to see all governments protect heterosexual marriage and not allow gay marriage. At the same time, I believe we should make sure homosexuals have equal rights when it comes to hospital visitation and other relational privileges.
I hope you are always kind and respectful to homosexuals and anyone else who may be different from you. We also need to be teaching our children that homosexuality is a sin against God… and how to treat EVERYONE with love and respect no matter how different they may be.

Feel free to share info from this website. Most of the info is for Adventists and not evangelism. We need to make sure we have a healthy church to bring new people into as we reach out to a hurting and dying world.
