The Seventh-day Adventist Church is under attack. Liberals in the Church are quickly destroying our Biblical foundation.
The sad truth is that God will allow us to destroy something He created. All throughout history, God has given us the freedom to choose Him or not. The Israelites of old chose to destroy the gift God had given their nation. Prophets, kings, and spiritual leaders have always decided to follow God or not. People choose everyday to protect or destroy their bodies through lifestyle decisions.
If Bible-believing and passionate Adventist church members do not stand up for Jesus and His truth, we just might see the Church God created crumble right before our eyes.
What does the attack on God’s Church look like?
- God didn’t create the world in six literal days…
- Moses didn’t write the first five books of the Bible…
- The Spirit of Prophecy is a joke…
- It does not matter what you eat and drink…
- It does not matter what you wear, pierce, or paint…
- God created homosexuals that way…
- God never intended for men to always be the spiritual leaders in the home and church…
- It’s all relative…
“And I said to them, You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem is wasted, and the gates of it are burned with fire. Come and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, so that we may no more be a reproach. And I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me, and also the king’s words that he had spoken to me. And they said, Let us rise up to build. So they made their hands strong for good.” (Neh. 2:17, 18)
If our Church is under attack, we must be the ones to stand up for Jesus and say, “enough!” We must prayerfully ask our spiritual leaders to stand up for Jesus and His amazing truths. The world is in need of a spirituall-sound and mission-focused people who are willing to follow Jesus wherever He leads.
The question is… WHAT WILL YOU DO? Will you sit back and just pray about it? Or will you prayerfully stand up for Jesus and make it known that we are an Adventist people who love God and His truths and we will not allow backsliding church leaders destroy what God created (His end time Church)?
Please write a comment below if you are a Bible-believing Adventist who supports…
- Six literal days of creation
- Homosexuality is a sexual sin that God can help people overcome
- Men have been called to be the spiritual leaders in the home and church (all are equal, but have specific gender roles)
May the Lord have mercy on our Church!!!
FYI – I personally believe that we are saved by grace alone and that it is because we are saved, we choose to follow Jesus and implement the teachings of His Word.

I personally agree with all those things that were written. We must stand up for the right. We only follow a “Thus saith the Lord” and nothing else. We are a newly organized church here in Jeddah and we support God’s church.

@ Nancy – It’s always good to know that there are Bible-believing Adventists working to spread God’s love and truth. We have a wonderful message… now we just need to make sure we package it for ministry in a way that will give all the glory to God.

Today, women in leadership, in our culture this is a human rights issue. We cannot live by NT culture that commanded slaves, male or female, child or youth, to submit to their masters, as unto the Lord. Neither would we direct a slave to return to the Christian master. Neither would we order our congregations to refuse women to speak in church, instead to ask their husbands their questions. Neither would we (SDA’s) gather all our elders to a meal of fresh caught fish and bread, as Jesus did after his resurrection. Neither would we tell our wives to address their husbands as Lords, as was Sarah’s habit with Abraham. Neither would we permit individuals to stand up in church and prophecy every week. Neither would we tell our young women they are saved through childbirth.

@ David – Wow! It’s amazing how we can reason away the Word of God. I’ll respond to one of your examples… In principle, as slaves to financial debt, we are to submit to our masters. Millions of people are slaves to the debts they have made. As Christians, we are to honor those debts. As students of the Bible, we are to prayerfully submit ourselves to all of God’s teachings, in principle or literally. The cultural things like marrying more than one wife or marrying a family member are cultural and were never Biblical in the first place (except for the first humans). So many people want to focus on the NT for guidance… well… It Is Written and that is good enough for me. Men will always be called to be the spiritual leaders in the home and church… we can either obey God or rebel… It’s our choice!

The Torah taught that slaves, male or female, could be bought and sold as “your property.” A priest could will them to their children so they “inherit them as a possession; they shall be your permanent slaves” (Lev 25). Solomon clams to have purchased more slaves then anyone before him, and was not ashamed of it. God told Israel that Fathers could sell their daughters, not sons (Ex 21).
If a thief is unable to make restitution, he was to be sold into slavery (Ex21). Israel when they besieged a city they could chose a beautiful women as a prize, their desire did not count (Dt 20) and could marry a slave women as a additional wife (Ex 21).
Women were not treated as equal to men in the Laws of Moses; they could inherit nothing if there was a brother in the family. They could not approach the Temple with a sacrifice the same as a man. These are cultural laws that we cannot and never will keep, because good religions must adapt to survive.
God used Luther, but we can’t live in his culture. Luther’s wrote a 65,000-word treatise Von den Juden und Ihren Lügen, (On Jews and Their Lies) in which he said, Jews were full of the “devil’s feces … which they wallow in like swine.” Hitler used Luther’s Jewish polemics to support genocide.
Neither can we use Paul’s epistles to say only men should be Elders, spiritual leaders. Jesus did not see it this way when he send the HS on both men and women and commissioned women to tell the disciples that he had risen, make them the first apostles.

Greetings like minded brothers and sisters in Christ. There is an old negro spiritual that goes, “Give me that old time religion”, I’m sure you all have heard it. Our churchs must get back to delivering the truth every Sabbath and not just entertaining the members and guests.
I’m living here in Korea and run the English program at our local SDA church. With the influence of men like Walter Veith and Pastor David Gates I see a real need to preach messages that inspire people to grab hold of Jesus and don’t let go.
The gospel is all about Jesus and only by Him will we be saved. The thorns of the world are always around us trying to choke out our spiritual life. We must remember that being Christians isn’t what we do, it’s who we are. God bless.
