“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” — Gen. 1:1.  We have an amazing God who has the ability to speak solid and organic matter into being.  It’s difficult for us to wrap our human minds around the fact that God spoke our world into existence.  When we see how many types and kinds of vegetation and animals there are on planet Earth, we can only be amazed at what God was able to create.

As Adventist Christians, we believe…

God is Creator of all things, and has revealed in Scripture the authentic account of His creative activity. In six days the Lord made “the heaven and the earth” and all living things upon the earth, and rested on the seventh day of that first week. Thus He established the Sabbath as a perpetual memorial of His completed creative work. The first man and woman were made in the image of God as the crowning work of Creation, given dominion over the world, and charged with responsibility to care for it. When the world was finished it was “very good,” declaring the glory of God. (Gen. 1; 2; Ex. 20:8-11; Ps. 19:1-6; 33:6, 9; 104; Heb. 11:3.) Source: 28 Fundamental Beliefs

Get out and enjoy God’s nature this weekend.  You can use a nature hike for personal evangelism if you invite you non-Adventist or Christian friends to join you.  As the Holy Spirit leads, you can invite these friends to home Bible study groups and church programs.

You can click on each of the below days to learn more about God’s wonderful creation.  This is a Geoscience Research Institute resource.
